美國總統大選於美東時間19日晚間9時（台北時間20日早上9時）舉行第3場也是最後一場辯論，民主黨候選人希拉蕊．柯林頓與共和黨候選人川普再次激烈交鋒，面對嚴肅議題，兩人卻難脫厭惡彼此之實。而被問到11月8日大選若敗北，是否會尊重選舉結果，川普也不願做出承諾。
CNN╱ORC民調顯示，希拉蕊依然在最後一場辯論中勝出，差距達13個百分點。受訪者中52％認為希拉蕊表現較好，39％覺得川普更佳。這是兩人表現最接近的一次，首場辯論時，希拉蕊和川普的支持率分別為62％和27％，第二場辯論則為57％和34％。
辯論在賭城拉斯維加斯的內華達大學舉行，時間90分鐘。主持人為福斯新聞資深政治記者華勒斯。這場辯論的議題涵蓋聯邦大法官提名、槍枝管制、墮胎、移民、外交、經濟和社會福利等。
當主持人把問題指向網路安全超越國境時，希拉蕊說，到目前美國已有17個情報組織證實，俄羅斯企圖影響美國選情，呼籲大家確保俄國總統普丁不會支持川普。川普反擊表示，他不認識普丁，但普丁欣賞他不尊重希拉蕊，希拉蕊不甘勢弱的說：「那是因為他希望有個傀儡總統」。
面對主持人詢問，若他敗選，是否會平和接受，川普不願做出承諾，表示要「到時候再說。就讓大家保持懸念，好嗎？」
希拉蕊還談到，要向富人增稅以因應退休福利支出，而除非川普逃得了稅，否則就會繳更高的稅。此時川普插話說：「好個惡毒的女人（nasty woman）」，引起辯論現場一片騷動，迫使主持人要大家保持安靜。
希拉蕊和川普兩人不但辯論前後未握手，辯論結束後，甚至不屑看彼此一眼。
